Origin (To Do)

  • By initially operating as a seafood marketing and trading company, we brokered deals between processors and international buyers.
  • This gave us an understanding of market demands in various regions, from the specific species and packaging preferred by importers and wholesalers to the stringent quality standards of the European Union and USA.
  • We built a reputation for reliability and market knowledge, but we were ultimately dependent on the quality and capacity of our suppliers.

Growth Phase (InProgress)

  • To move beyond commodity trading and guarantee the consistent quality our customers expected, we made the strategic decision to transition from a marketing company to an exporter. We invested in our own pre-processing facilities, and got our products processed as a merchant exporter with direct partnerships with sustainable fishing fleets and certified aquaculture farms.
  • This allowed us to implement strict Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards and meticulously manage every step of the cold chain, from sourcing to packaging. This move transformed our business model from one of connecting buyers and sellers to one of creating branded seafood products.
